Runway Extension
Southampton Airport has now submitted a planning application to Eastleigh Borough Council to enable the first phase of delivery of proposals outlined in its master plan document, A Vision For Sustainable Growth.
We have been working closely with the local authority and have carried out a significant series of technical assessments, public and stakeholder consultation.
Our planning application covers:
- A 164 metre extension at the northern end of the runway, within existing airport boundaries;
- An associated blast screen adjacent to the runway;
- Up to an additional 600 car parking spaces.
