Getting to & from the airport by car
Driving Directions
There is easy access for all major travel routes as Southampton Airport is situated to the north of Southampton, just off J5 on the M27 and very near the M3.
For those using a Sat Nav please enter the postcode SO18 2NL (Latitude/longitude: 50:57:01N (50.95039); 1:21:42W (-1.36155). Alternatively plan your journey to the airport using Google Maps.
Please note: Postcode accuracy on satellite navigation systems is variable. Please follow the relevant signage on arrival to the airport.
Coming From Southampton
Drivers coming from central Southampton should take the A335 and follow the sign-posts to the airport.
From the South West
Approaching the airport on the M27 from the West Country and Bournemouth directions:
- Stay on the M27 past the M3 merge and leave at the following junction, J5
- On leaving the motorway take the second exit off the roundabout for A335 "Eastleigh/Southampton Airport"
- Head straight over the next roundabout
- Take the first left at the following roundabout
- The airport is then clearly sign-posted
To and From the South East
Approaching the airport from the east on the M27:
- Leave the M27 at junction 5 keeping in the right-hand lane on the exit slip-road
- Take the fourth exit for A335 "Eastleigh/Southampton Airport"
- Head straight over the next roundabout
- Take the first left at the following roundabout
- The airport is then clearly sign-posted
To and From the North
Access from the north is via the M3 if coming from Winchester:
- When the M3 merges into the M27 stay in the right 2 lanes towards Portsmouth
- Leave the M27 at the following junction, J5
- On leaving the motorway take the second exit off the roundabout for A335 "Eastleigh/Southampton Airport"
- Head straight over the next roundabout
- Take the first left at the following roundabout
- The airport is then clearly sign-posted

There's a filling station on the A335 Southampton Road, just under a mile north of the airport. Postcode: SO50 5QT.
